Firm

The main objective of conducting FIRM games is to build a rapport with the juniors and create a sense of belonging. FIRM is a one month long celebration of sportsmanship and cultural talent, conducted by the second years. Both juniors and seniors are divided into four teams Falcons, Invincibles, Rudra and Morpheus. These teams compete in various games and cultural events. After the conclusion of FIRM games and FIRM culturals a party is thrown open in the form of an informal Fresher’s Party.

The FIRM Event for 2011 kicked off in style. Inaugurating the ‘FIRM' games, A. Amalraj, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Tiruchi Range, praised the students for using sports to sharpen their interpersonal skills and bolster their relationship.

“The idea envisaged by an alumnus was put to use to strengthen the bonding between the first and the second year students. The tradition serves as a perfect platform for the students to interact and gel together” Department Head N. Thamaraiselvan added. The Dean –Students' Welfare, K. Sankaranarayanasamy, presided over. M. Rajendra Kumar, Physical Director, also addressed the students.
